Easter Weekend Reading: The Egg by Polly Samson

An (unboiled) egg through the letter box forms the unlikely catalyst for the first story in Polly Samson’s gorgeous short story collection Perfect Lives.
The hardback edition was met by rapturous praise both here and in the States including a coveted place on Oprah’s O magazine Reading Room list and places on the Book of the Year lists for the Independent, the Evening Standard, the Spectator, and the Sunday Times here in the UK.
