Screenwriter Amanda Coe joins Radio 4 to talk about her first novel, What They Do In the Dark. It’s a disturbing story of two girls from very different backgrounds growing up in a small Yorkshire town in the 70s. With more in common than they imagine their unlikely alliance has tragic consequences. Amanda Coe's television credits include writing for Channel 4 series Shameless and Margot for BBC4 – she talks about the creative freedom of writing her own novel.
