REBECCA has been chosen for World Book Night
Posted by Donna Coonan in Book News
At the World Book Night launch last night, it was announced that Rebecca by
Daphne du Maurier is to be one of twenty-five books to be included in World Book Night 2012. Here's the full list of titles.
The aim of World Book Night is to share a love of books and of reading. Next April 23rd – UNESCO's International Day of the Book – twenty thousand people will give out twenty-four copies of one of the chosen books into their local communities. Books will also be given out in prisons, hospitals and libraries, so that, in total, one million books will be shared. To become a volunteer giver, register with WBN.

I am so glad that Rebecca has been selected as one of the World Book Night titles for 2012. I have volunteered to be one of the givers to distribute this book – fingers crossed! I am reading Sarah Waters' Fingersmith at the moment, which was the title that I distributed last year.
