Stella Duffy's Theodora wins the Stonewall Writer of the Year Award

Virago is delighted to announce that the prestigious Stonewall Writer of the Year Award prize was awarded to Stella Duffy for her brilliant novel Theodora. She shares the award with fellow writer Rupert Smith.
Stella beat a very strong shortlist of authors including Jackie Kay, Damon Galgut and Emma Donoghue. This is the second time that Stella has won this particular award in three years – a brilliant and unique achievement.
Congratulations to Stella from everyone at Virago.
