The Bolter – Film Rights Sold!

It seems that everybody wants to want to make a film of a Virago book. Last week we told you about South Riding. Yesterday we told you about Slave.
Today comes the news that film rights for The Bolter by Frances Osborne have been acquired by New Regency Productions. The Bolter has been a bestseller on both sides of the Atlantic, and a major screenwriter is expected to sign up to the project in the next few months.
'A tragic and deeply moving tale . . . far more gripping than any novel I have read for years' Anthony Beevor
'A corker of a subject. Idina's behaviour . . . probably inspired The Bolter in Nancy Mitford's The Pursuit of Love. Osborne's richly wrought descriptions of glittering Paris nights and lush mountainous landscapes of Kenya's Happy Valley are fabulous . . . A breakneck-paced, thoroughly diverting story' Valerie Grove, The Times

I just searched your catalog for work by Winifred Ellerman (Bryher). I feel quite surprised not to find any of her work on your lists. I became a devotee of women writers when I was in my early 20's and have collected as many Virago books as I could find in US bookstores since at least the 1970's.
I understand that some Virago books have gone out of print, so perhaps at one time some of Bryher's work was on your lists. I also have the impression that you once had some of Harriet Martineau's books in your catalogue. Please advise.
