Vera Brittain and Winifred Holtby: A Friendship

Virago has recently reissued A Testament of Friendship by Vera Brittain, a moving account of her close bond with the writer (and fellow Virago author, of Virago Modern Classics such as South Riding), Winifred Holtby.
In the Telegraph, Brittain's biographer Mark Bostridge throws light on the story of their friendship.
