World Book Night follow up

World Book Night was an audacious and, as it turned out, tremendously exciting event.
Standing in Trafalgar Square, surrounded by about 5,000 people, all quietly listening to Sarah Waters and then Alan Bennett and Margaret Atwood and then Edna O’Brien and, and, and – yet more wonderful authors – was thrilling.
